Filter Baskets in the spotlight

The purpose of this article is to put the production of industrial filters (which are often small pressure vessels) and more specifically associated filter baskets in the spotlight.

As a rule, these filter baskets need to be very sturdy given the flow rates, pressures (and the occasional less gentle treatment by technicians) they have to withstand. This means that, notably when assessing quotations, you should make sure that you are ‘comparing apples with apples’, so to speak.

The difference between a light and a sturdy basket version can, for example, determine whether it can be used for just 6 months or last for years.

 

 

 

Most filter baskets are made up of a combination of perforated sheet, wire mesh and reinforcement rings/strips.
