At what point does a vessel become a "pressure vessel" and should it, within Europe, meet the strict PED regulations. From the moment the design pressure exceeds 0.5 bar. Up to 0.5 bar there are few requirements; above this limit, one needs to conform and follow very different procedures. In addition to that, various calculations and inspections must be taken into consideration. Of course the medium used, temperature, volume and the specified draft Code also play a role.

Deprest has to take care of the various calculations and risk analyses. Has the limit of 0,5 bar been exceeded? Do not hesitate to contact us. Naturally Deprest does not only build unpressurised storage tanks. We produce tanks, drums and containers,… with or without pressure. Peter Depraetere
