Welding seam preparation prior to welding

Deprest is well equipped in this respect:

• Plasma table: almost all oblique bevel cutting      preparations are made directly using our 3D plasma cutting head. We also      use the plasma table to cut plates with bevelled weld preparation for      third parties. Bevelled cutting edges can be machined on sheet, pipe as      well as head. • Various bevelling machines to make angled      bevel cutting preparations
• Grinders

Cleaning of welding seam between passes

The weld joint has to be cleaned each time between the various weld passes. Deprest has the necessary tools for the following operations:

• Grinding
• Gouging using a gouge torch of up to 1000 A
